The higher the IV stat, the better the Pokémon’s Attack, Defence or HP will be. If a stat has an IV ranking of 15 – the maximum possible stat – then the bar will be coloured red. On the other hand, if a stat bar is completely empty, then the IV ranking for that stat is 0.
Does level affect IV?
IVs stay the same throughout levels on the same Pokemon, and are randomly generated when you obtain them. Pokemon levels are also random when caught but can be increased by powering up.
Which is more important high IV or low IV?
It’s exactly the opposite. High IV is theoretically worth less on a Pokémon that already has high stats, compared to Pokémon that has lower base stats. 15 stat points for each of the stats is proportionally a lot less than for example Cloyster that has base stats of 196/196/100.
Why do IVs matter so much in Pokemon Go?
The only things IVs actually influence is the Pokemon’s maximum CP. As such, unless you’re powering the Pokemon up as much as possible whenever you level up, IVs make no difference at all. Higher CP means the Pokemon is better, and the Pokemon’s level has a much higher impact than the IVs.
Which is more important, IVs or total stats?
The real answer is that IVs are very important, mean FAR more than the silly and misleading “It’s only a 2% difference in total stats” statement, but as a blanket rule no where near as much as the “anything under 91% is rubbish” crowd. But only if you actually know what you’re doing with them.
When do IVs matter more than moveset?
Basically, unless you are trying a very difficult short man you won’t notice the difference. IVs really only matter for short manning raids and getting maybe one additional ball from a raid. Moveset is way more important. I prioritize high level weather boosted mons with the right moves first and then worry about high IVs later.
