Nintendo eShop cards are region locked and players may only use them in the Nintendo eShop region or country that they were intended to be used with. Nintendo eShop prepaid cards that are intended for other countries aren’t refundable and may not be exchanged.

Information. Nintendo eShop Cards are specific to a particular country, which means they can only be redeemed on systems and/or Nintendo Accounts that are set to that same country. We are unable to exchange Nintendo eShop Cards designed for sale in one country for Nintendo eShop Cards in another.

Can a Nintendo Switch be used outside of Europe?
Although Nintendo Switch software sold in regions outside of Europe will work with Nintendo Switch consoles sold in Europe, we have not tested all overseas software with consoles from all regions and cannot guarantee full service and support.
