We currently do not support the ability to merge Ubisoft accounts. However, under certain circumstances, we may be able to transfer your game to your other Ubisoft account. We are unable to transfer any in-game content or in-game progress.
What happens if I buy a game on Steam that I already own on UPlay?
If you buy a Uplay game on Steam that you already own on Uplay, you will now own the game on Steam as well. This means you can install the game from Steam. You can then launch the Steam specific version through the Steam launcher.
Why does UPlay need activation code?
If you get the error message that the key is already in use, you may have already activated the game on a different Ubisoft account. Please make sure you are logged into the same account that you activated the game on previously. If you need help with identifying the account feel free to contact us!
How do I get my activation code for UPlay?
On the left hand side under Play or Download, choose Show key. You will now be shown the key to activate the main game. If you select Copy you can paste the key in when prompted.
Does the crew 2 have cross progression?
Our main live games and upcoming releases will support cross-progression, including an upgrade at no additional cost to the next generation of devices. The only step necessary is to create or sign in to a Ubisoft account when launching the selected games.
Can you link your Uplay games to Steam?
To link your Steam account to your Ubisoft account, you need to launch any of our games from the Steam client. Once you launch the game: Click Link Your Account on the pop-up.

Buying the game again on Uplay would not reset your progress due to this. If you unlink Steam from your current Uplay account and make a new one, then link Steam to this. You should then be able to start with new progress if you launch it through Steam.

You can only have your Steam linked to one Uplay account at a time which causes authentication issues. To play with two different accounts on the same Steam profile you’d need to unlink it from your main Uplay and then link Steam to your new secondary Uplay account each time you wanted to swap between them.
