Yes, you can play instants and abilities during the upkeep. However, the Haze just gives you an additional upkeep step. It does not give you an additional untap step (which is the step that occurs before the upkeep step), so anything that’s tapped during the first upkeep will still be tapped during the second upkeep.
Can you cast between untap and upkeep?
You can’t cast it during the untap step, neither player receive priority then. However you can cast it during your upkeep step. Players receive priority to cast spells and activate abilities during the upkeep, which is before the draw step. You can’t do anything in any Untap Phase because players don’t get priority.
When do you get your first chance to play spells?
The first chance you have to play spells and abilities would be the beginning of the upkeep. Nothing can be played during the untap step. Anything that triggers during the untap step will wait to resolve until the beginning of the upkeep. 301.
When do you put triggered abilities on the stack?
603.3b If multiple abilities have triggered since the last time a player received priority, each player, in APNAP order, puts triggered abilities they control on the stack in any order they choose. (See rule 101.4 .)
Can you cast a spell during your opponent’s end step?
If you cast it during your opponent’s end step your creature will not return until the end of your turn. Note that Ghostway’s trigger occurs during the End Step, not the Cleanup Step which is why this works. There is no opportunity to cast spells between the last cleanup step and your upkeep.
When do spells go on the stack in RuneScape?
No. If a spell triggers during the untap step, it will wait until the next time SBEs check (beginning of the upkeep) to go on the stack. At this point, beginning of upkeep triggers will also have triggered, so they will be put on the stack in APNAP order with beginning of upkeep triggers.
