Mimics that spawn in a Snow biome on ice or snow take on the appearance of Frozen / Ice Chests and also have their own unique set of ice-themed drops. Present Mimic is a Frost Moon variant that behaves similarly, but drops many Hearts instead.
Where do crimson mimics spawn?
The Crimson Mimic is a miniboss that spawns rarely in the Underground Crimson. They can also be spawned by putting a Key of Night into any empty chest. The chest will then turn into a Crimson Mimic in a hardmode world that contains the Crimson. They can be detected by the Lifeform Analyzer or any of its upgrades.

- 2 Go in the mimic room.
- 3 Use a rusted coin.
- 4 Use a Undead Hunter Charm on the mimic.
- 5 Approach the mimic hoping to see the prompt to pick up something.
- 6 Wait for the mimic to go back to sleep.
- 7 Repeat 4-6 until running out of charms.

Can a corruption spawn in all biomes at once?
If you’re in an area that is in multiple biomes any monster that can spawn in any of them can spawn there. Many grinders use this to have a single grinder that is in up to 5 biomes at once. (Usually Jungle, Ocean, Corruption, Crimson and Tundra) Note that a biome cannot be corruption/crimson and hallowed.
