Seasonal Heroes start off with a blank-slate. They have their own shared stash and, until the current Season is over, they may not access any non-Seasonal items, materials, or gold already present on your account.

Where does gear go once season is over?
All equipped gear and gear in your character inventory (non-stash) stays with your character. The rest of your gear is gotten by the mail option in the lower left, just like claiming Haedrig’s gift.
Can a seasonal character enter the seasonal channel?
Only Seasonal Characters can enter the Seasonal Channels, so there’s no having to compete with veteran players who out gear you by a lot! Seasonal Channels will be similar to Olvia with bonus XP rates, but will not limit the maximum level so you will be able to use the seasonal channels to level as much as possible with your seasonal character.
How can you tell if a character is a season character?
Once you have created a Season Character, you will see a special mark in the character selection window which shows you that the character is a Season Character.
