The issue effectively removes Danse as a companion but it will not remove his perk. To keep Danse as a full companion following the main story one must either side with the Brotherhood, or side with the Minutemen and choose not to become enemies with the Brotherhood of Steel.

You can still recruit him as long as long as he is still alive (in other words you don’t execute him for Maxson). You cannot reach max affinity with Danse until you finish Blind Betrayal.
