Go to Thirsk Mead Hall and kill the Rieklings. Speak to Bujold afterwards. She says that she needs to speak to Hrothmund in order to receive his blessing to lead the warriors. She has previouslyreceived the blessing, when she became the Chief, but it is apparantly neccescary for her to do so again.
How do you complete the chief of Thirsk Hall?
Completing the quest will install the player as the new Chieftain of Thirsk Hall, with the ability to gain Reikling followers….Objectives
- Give Bilgemuck some meat.
- Return Bilgemuck to Thirsk Mead Hall.
- Talk to the riekling chief.
- Bring ten scathecraw to the chief.
- Kill the Nords.
- Speak to the chief, and defend yourself.
Should I help the chief of Thirsk Hall?
If Bujold’s Retreat has been visited before, it is revealed that these Nords are actually the previous inhabitants of Thirsk Mead Hall that were driven off by the chief and his fellow Rieklings. Accepting to help the chief will cause him to jump out his throne and run outside, ready to fight.
Can you get the AXE in retaking Thirsk?
Hrothmund’s Axe is not an actual weapon and cannot be obtained by any means.
Can you marry Bujold?
Bujold will ask for your help to retake Thirsk, although it is your choice if they deserve it. She wields a Nordic war axe and wears leather armor with matching boots, bracers, and helmet. She is married to the ill-tempered Kuvar, who has a hard time dealing with the shame of being overwhelmed by Rieklings.
Can you find Bujold the unworthy?
Bujold and her group of Nords can be found at Bujold’s Retreat along the eastern shore of Solstheim, a short distance south of Skaal Village.

How many Rieklings can follow you?
Whenever they show up, the Dragonborn essentially gets up to three protected followers for free, which is invaluable for surviving tough battles on Master/Legendary difficulty. While not in combat, the Dragonborn usually can ask one of them to be a follower right away by talking to them.

Kuvar becomes the de facto leader of Thirsk and offers training. Kuvar offers training. Telling the truth to Kuvar will cause him to become upset. Regardless of whether Kuvar is angry and ashamed about his wife being exiled or angry at the Dragonborn for killing her, he will be unwilling to have a conversation.
