Nintendo is finally enabling fans to bring their favorite Pokémon from the first generation of games to the 3DS. The company revealed today that players can transfer Pokémon from original Red, Blue, and Yellow games for Game Boy to the upcoming Sun and Moon releases for 3DS due out later this year.
Can you transfer virtual console Pokemon?
You will be able to transfer Pokémon from the virtual console versions of Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow into your copy of Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon. A new Pokédex feature has been added.
Can you trade Pokemon from silver to red?
You cannot trade any of the new Gold/Silver Pokémon back to Pokémon Red/Blue and Yellow.
Can you transfer Pokemon from virtual console to sword?
Be wary that while Pokemon from Let’s Go can be moved to Sword and Shield, they can’t then be transferred back to Let’s Go; only Sword and Shield have the ability to transfer to and fro.

Where do you go to trade between Pokemon gold and silver?
If you’re trading between two copies of Pokémon Gold or Silver, both players need to talk to the receptionist of the Cable Club Trade Center at the same time. If you’re trading between Pokémon Gold/Silver and Pokémon Blue/Red or Yellow, you will have to talk to the Cable Club Time Capsule attendant instead.
Can you transfer Pokemon from Pokemon Red to HeartGold?
Hypothetically, if they ever release Gold/Silver/Crystal on the VC, then you can trade those with Red, but that’s it. VC Red/Blue/Yellow can only transfer pokemon to Gen 7 Sun and Moon through Bank (but not the other way).
