The only things you need are the Rod of Discord and the PwnHammer. At the Lihzahrd Temple, you cannot use the rod of discord to enter because of its background. But, you can break the background with the PwnHammer which allows you to teleport in with the Rod.
How do you summon Golem outside the temple?
At the very end of the temple lies a shiny Lihzahrd Altar (sometimes, you can even see it shining in the dark from outside the temple). Hold a Lihzahrd Power cell anywhere in your inventory and right click on the Altar. The Golem has now spawned at the cost of one Power Cell.

The only pickaxes that can break Lihzard Brick are the picksaw, the laser drill, and the luminite pickaxes. All of them require that you have defeated the Golem to acquire. What to do if you cant find jungle temple?
Your best bet would be to continue exploring the jungle pre-hardmode. Keep to the larger areas and don’t start digging sideways until you can’t find a way through anymore. Bombs also help with clearing the area and won’t damage the temple if you find it, since temple blocks can only be harvested by the best hardmode picks.
