When a land becomes a creature, it is still a single permanent. It just means it can die to anything that would kill a creature AND anything that would destroy a land. If it is destroyed in either way, that permanent will go to the graveyard. It’s not possible for “only the creature” to die.

If you want your creature land to survive taking lethal damage from a Lightning Bolt, you can always play Consecrate Land on it! I think it may depend on the effect and the version. For example, if you look at Living Lands, the ruling is right there on the card: Treat all forests in play as 1/1 creatures.
