Accepted answer #1. An exiled creature is removed from the battlefield entirely. All auras fall off immediately when it’s exiled, as well as counters. When it returns, it is a brand new creature entering the battlefield, and thus is untapped, with summoning sickness, and it triggers any ETB triggers.
Does a creature returning from exile have summoning sickness?
Yes. Any card that returns from exile returns as if you just played it/as if it wasn’t on the field already. So a creature will have summoning sickness and any card that had any effects placed on it prior to exile will no longer have those effects (such as counters).
Is Exile considered dying?
