Baneful Bunker (Japanese: トーチカ Pillbox) is a non-damaging Poison-type move introduced in Generation VII. It is the signature move of Toxapex.
Can baneful bunker poison steel types?
Poison or Steel type Pokémon, those with the ability Immunity or those behind a Substitute cannot be poisoned. The effects do not stack with the Rocky Helmet item or the Rough Skin or Iron Barbs abilities.
Is baneful bunker better than protect?
Protect allows for more wiggle room and more precise execution of strats/ management of threats, but as a standalone move Baneful Bunker is definitely better.
How many times can you use baneful bunker?
It cannot be used two turns in a row and will inflict the poison status effect to any attacker that makes contact with the user without being themselves immunised against said status effect.

Those attacked by Toxapex’s poison will suffer intense pain for three days and three nights. Post-recovery, there will be some aftereffects. Within the poison sac in its body is a poison so toxic that Pokémon as large as Wailord will still be suffering three days after it first takes effect.
Is Toxapex a good Pokemon?
Toxapex Strengths Toxapex is a classic defensive wall that can frustrate opponents with Regenerator & Recover. Instead of Baneful Bunker, Toxic could also be a very good choice. The move Haze removes all stat changes, so it can be really good at canceling out an opponent’s set up (such as Mimikyu).

You could use a steel type like Magnezone and take them on with Thunder / Tbolt.
