Can you play Borderlands 2 with DLC installed?
It would seem that they can’t play any of the dlc areas or pickup any of the dlc weapons, if they don’t have the dlc installed, but they can still play the regular campaign with your dlc characters, they just can’t get into the dlc area regardless of who hosts the game. – Krazer Dec 25 ’13 at 9:06

I bought Borderlands GOTY, it came with 2 disks, 1 is game disk, the 2nd is addons. I put in disk 2 and install all addons. I give disk 2 to my brother, he installs as well. I give to 2 more friends, they all install addons. they own cheap copies of the origional Borderlands non- GOTY, pre-addon disk.
