A creature you touch becomes invisible until the spell ends. Anything the target is wearing or carrying is invisible as long as it is on the target’s person. The spell ends for a target that attacks or casts a spell.
Can you cast a spell at a lower level?
You cannot cast spells at a lower spell slot.
Can you prepare a spell twice?
Yes. When you cast a spell you spend or fill the spellslot, but you do not lose the prepared spell. You can continue to cast it as long as you have equivalent spellslots to spend.
Can sorcerers cast more than one spell?
Short answer: no. Long answer: the spellcasting rules chapter (not the class chapter) about casting times. I’m pretty sure a major of the quickened spell rule is to prevent sorcerers from casting two fireballs a turn.

1: Yes, since the Range on both is Touch, it is posible to touch yourself and make yourself invisible. 2: There is wording in the spell’s description: “Anything the target is wearing or carrying is invisible as long as it is on the target’s person.” This covers making objects invisible when the spell is cast.
Can you use a higher spell slot for a lower spell?
No, spell slots aren’t interchangeable. You can cast a 1st level spell with a spell slot of 1st level or higher, but you can’t cast a 3rd level spell with spell slots of 2nd level or lower. Thanks!
Can you cast shield at a higher level?
You can cast Shield with either a 3rd or 4th level slot but (as there is no enhanced effect for that spell when cast at higher levels – a Shield spell is a Shield spell no matter what level it’s cast at), it would be best to cast it as third level spell – keeping the 4th level slot for future 4th-or-lower level spells.
