How does exp share works?
When the player gives an Exp. Share to a Pokémon in their party that isn’t first in the lineup and battles, part of the experience points gained by the battling Pokémon is given to the one holding the Exp. Share.

- Start young. You can often max out the EVs by level 20, which leaves the Pokémon free for use in-game; it will also be stronger than normal.
- Don’t lose Pokérus.
- Use vitamins early.
- Count well.

Does exp share work better with less Pokémon?
1 Answer. The participating Pokemon only get experience once. Everybody else in the party gets half of the total each. Experience gain is independent of participants and number of Pokemon in your party, so yes, your party gains more experience overall if you have more people in your party at the same time.
How do effort values work?
Effort Values, or EVs, are values for each stat (HP, attack, etc) that a Pokemon can gain through battling Pokemon or Super Training. Each Pokemon can earn up to 510 EV points before maxing out their EVs. These EV points influence your final stats and your scaling when you play Online Battles.
How does exp share spread effort value points?
Not only does this item allow you to share experience points with other Pokemon in your party, but it will also spread Effort Value points too! If Exp Share is turned on, and a Pokemon battles and defeats an opponent that grants one Speed EV point, then all Pokemon in your party will receive one Speed EV point.
