Once a game is downloaded, use the Steam Client to play the game.
- If Steam isn’t already running then Run the Steam Client on your computer:
- Log into Steam if you aren’t already logged in.
- Choose ‘Library’ to see your list of games.
- Choose the game you wish to install and click on it.
- Choose ‘Play’ to play the game.
Do I have to rebuy games for Steam?
You do not need to re-purchase any game you’ve bought previously, as long as you log in using the same Steam account you previously bought the game with; however, you will need to download those games on the new computer.
Can you rip games from Steam?
No. Even if there is a crack available for the game, it might not work with the latest version you get from steam. Crack versions still use Steam, just a disconnected always logged in version.

Yes, you do. Steam is a platform to purchase the games, which subsequently downloads the files to your computer and in order to do so, it uses the internet to download the needed files. Besides, you cannot even buy a game on Steam without purchasing it with internet.

Steam allows any game, regardless of its publisher or presence on the Steam store, to load from the platform as a non-native game. Here’s what you need to do: Open your Steam Library. Click on the plus icon (“Add a game”) on the bottom left.
Why is Steam telling me to buy a game I already own?
Steam may allow you to play the game while it is in the process of authorizing your credit card. The next time you try to play the game, Steam will ask if you want to attempt the purchase again. You must make a valid purchase in order to play if your payment was declined for any reason.
