In the mission leading up to this quest, players must assemble a device that allows for contact with the organization, calling upon one of the factions for help if desired. Once the device is ready, players will travel to the Institute facility, initiating the Institutionalized quest.
What happens if you agree to join the institute?
If you join the Institute you’ll be allied with the Minutemen and destroy the Railroad and the Brotherhood of Steel. Actually you can have the Minutemen and the Brotherhood of Steel work together.
How do you gain access to the institute?
Continue until you reach an underwater pipe labeled as the Public Works Maintenance Area. Swim through the pipe to emerge on the other side, where you will find a keypad on the wall. Activate the keypad to open the grate and gain access to the institute.
Where is the secret entrance to the institute?
– The entrance to the Institute is a pipe located in the river to the east of Greenetech Genetics. Go past the building to the shoreline, look for a small dock, and jump in. The pipe is built into the wall here, hidden behind some orange seaweed.
Why is Kellogg not old?
At some point, Kellogg was cybernetically enhanced by the Institute, which slowed his aging and extended his lifespan. By 2287, he is over 100 years old but physically appears to be less than half that, having roughly the same appearance as he did when he kidnapped Shaun, despite 60 years passing.
Do you have to finish the Institute quest?
Tradecraft should be completed before finishing the Institute Quest, “Mankind-Redefined” so that you can continue to work with them. You can complete their quests up to the point that you’re on ‘Underground Undercover’ and the step to continue working with Father.
When do you refuse to work with the Institute?
Refuse to work with the Institute when the Sole Survivor meets Father for the first time. This will not trigger the Banished from the Institute quest, it is an optional ending of Institutionalized . Kill any named Institute personnel. Talk to Father negatively at the end of The Battle of Bunker Hill .
Can you visit the Institute later in the game?
You can visit the breathtaking HQ of the Institute only later into the game. The Institute is the only faction that you come into contact later into the game.
Where do you go to complete banished from the Institute?
If the start of the quest is triggered through console commands while outside the Institute, you will not be able to relay in. Instead, you will need to travel to the C.I.T. ruins and the quest will complete itself.
