- Plug the small (micro) USB end of the cable into the top of the controller.

Is the Xbox 360 controller still working afterglow?
If you go to Devices and Printers, the controller shows up as an AfterGlow Gamepad for XBox 360. To test, I removed the controller and re inserted it, still good. I unplugged the controller and shut the machine down. Started it back up and logged in, then plugged the controller in, and it’s still working. Hope this helps.
