How to change your Steam email
- Launch the Steam application.
- In the top left-hand corner of the screen, click “Steam” and wait for the drop-down menu to appear.
- Once the Settings or Preferences window appears, stay on the “Account” tab and click on “Change contact email address…”
Can other people see your Steam email?
Steam uses your email address to send you account-related emails. Steam NEVER displays your email address to anyone else. Gift messages are the only place email addresses are displayed to other users, which is unexpected and doesn’t follow the way that the rest of Steam works.

How can I find out what email is linked to my Steam account?
It’s always a good idea to do this for any kind of email you are expecting from a known entity. To check what email you have associated to your account, go to the Steam Settings under the Account tab and there is a contact email on this form that should be it (blacked out in image).
What to do if you forgot your steam email?
You would need to be logged in to change the email. If you have forgotten the password and don’t have access to the original email then your only option is to contact Steam support. You will need to provide them with proof of purchase for any games bought on that account so that they can verify that the account is yours.
