A little known fact is it’s possible to see every civilization’s yields at all time. Just go into the Options, Interface, and check “Show Yields in HUD Ribbon.” You can use this to track their score, military might, science, culture, religion, gold, you name it!
Do districts get tile yields?
Yes. Your workers can’t work district tiles until you build more buildings in the district for them to work in (and then they get the benefit of that building, not what was on the underlying tile).

Tile improvements that are built outside the workable (3-tile) range will supply Housing if they are unique but will not if they are standard. Technological development and many special improvements grant access to even more improvements, providing additional Housing.
