You would need to send a spy to steal it from someone that already researched the tech. Meaning, if nobody has beaten you to for example, stealth bombers, you are unable to boost the tech at all. However, Rocketry and a few others can be boosted through this method or via Great Scientist, whichever happens first.
How do you steal great works?
In the trade menu with another civ, you can easily see an extensive list of all the great works they own, giving you the option to trade for them. Once you get a spy, you can go into a city, into the theater district, and steal a great work.
How do you stop a spy in Civ 6?
You have options…
- Spend more on Espionage.
- Station a spy in your cities.
- Build the Espionage buildings (especially Intelligence Agency)
- As Sephlock so eloquently put it, lie back and think of England. The damage they do isn’t so bad, it’s usually over in a minute.
- Crush them militarily.
What is counterspy civ6?
Spies. Spies in Civilization VI are almost like other units – they must be produced in cities (via the normal Production queue) and moved around. They can also get killed, or captured, albeit not by normal Military units but rather through rival civilizations’ counterespionage forces.
How do I get more spies?
The first Spy is gained when any Civ reaches the Renaissance Era. Each player in the game then gets an additional Spy when their Civ moves up an era, allowing for a maximum of five Spies, six with National Intelligence Agency.
How do you increase your spy capacity in Civ 6?
You gain your first spy upon reaching the industrial era and then 1 more spy for each era beyond that, for a total of 4. You gain each new spy as soon as you reach the next era. France gains their first spy upon researching Castles and every civ can gain 1 additional spy by researching Computers.
