- Complete the story.
- Reach HR29.
- Complete the Assigned Quest Beyond the Blasting Scales.
- Find a Warrior’s Streamstone, rewarded (rarely) for defeating Threat Level 2 Tempered Monsters.
- Or, find a Hero’s Streamstone, rewarded (rarely) for defeating Threat Level 3 Tempered Monsters.
How do I get master rank materials?
Master Rank Materials in Monster Hunter World Iceborne (MHW) are special Items obtained from the landscape and from defeating Master Rank Monsters. After completing a Hunt, players are allowed to harvest the rewards from their slain prey, and also receive additional rewards depending on the Quest performance.
What materials do I need to augment weapons?
Weapon Augmentations require Zenny, Streamstones, and various rare Monster materials. Warrior’s Streamstones and Hero’s Streamstones have seven different variations, each of which can be used to augment two types of Weapon.

Rarity 10 or higher weapons that have been upgraded to the maximum level on the weapon tree or Rarity 8 or lower weapons that have been previously augmented can be powered up through customized augmentation. You can also upgrade a weapon to increase its number of augment slots.
Why is master rank so hard?
It’s hard because basically most monsters can leave you at 30% hp in one single shot. And considering how fast they are, you spend basically half of the fight trying to avoid being oneshotted, 40% trying to hit the monster, and 10% of the fight actually hitting the monster.
Is G rank a master rank?
Essentially, Master Rank will still be G-Rank equivalent – speaking to the fears of many veterans who think it will not be the same rank. The name change is just meant to accommodate newcomers, but everything in Master Rank will still play out the same way as previous G-Rank iterations.

You just need to find the Special Assignment to battle Rajang, in Seliana, and get to work! You might even be able to craft your first Rajang weapon after a single hunt. The rub is getting the Rarity 12 versions.

The number of augment slots changes depending on weapon rarity. You can also upgrade a weapon to increase its number of augment slots.
Can you max all guiding lands?
Pretty much everyone was hoping that the addition of a new area will allow them to have another level 7 zone in the Guiding Lands, but sadly, that is not the case. The current max level distribution is 7-7-7-4-1-1.
Where do you get Master rank weapon augments?
