Tribute is a currency used during Rituals. Players earn Tribute by slaying enemies that spawn within a Ritual Circle. It cannot be earned in any other way.
Does ritual tribute carry over?
Monsters killed during a ritual provide points called Tribute, which can be spent on reward items at the end of the ritual. More expensive rewards become available the more rituals are completed in an area, but Tribute does not carry over between different areas of the game.
Do ritual Rewards carry over?
Most players likely think you’ll be able to transfer tribute points between regions. However, you cannot. Those tribute points are tied to that instance, and to those items. So don’t think you can finish all the altars in a single location, and then take those points to the next instance with higher level monsters.

If you have enough tribute points, you can always reroll the items. And no, Tribute Points do not carry over between zones or maps. Use them or lose them. So don’t try to spam your way through a map, completing all the rituals, and then expect to be able to take those Points to the next map.
How many times can you defer an item Poe?
Items can be deferred unlimited times, but there is a unknown max to how many items can be deferred. If an item is deferred and shows back up, if you don’t pay to defer it or take it, the next time you see it will raise in price, and then will disappear if not deferred or taken.
Can I save tribute Poe?
You can’t accumulate tribute points and can’t keep deferring because it is minutely incremental. Before your hot fix it accumulated and you could save up for an item that cost 3000+. Not worth doing rituals, you basically have to buy whatever you accumulate to value you make in that area.
Do ritual points expire?
Your sweet, sweet credits never expire. Just place an order to spend that free money! This ain’t no country club: there’s no fees to be a Ritual Rewards member.
How do you maximize tribute points Poe?
You have the option to complete every altar in an instance, pick what items from the available favors you want to defer, and then move on to the next instance. This means you can receive the maximum amount of tribute points in an area before moving on, giving you the greatest amount of selection from the items.
What does deferring an item do in Path of Exile?
It allows players to mark rare rewards that they cannot presently afford with the Tribute they have, and those same items will re-appear in a later ritual. This item will reappear in a random later area, discounted by 10% of its original cost.
