IAC, this seems to also affect BL2 for some people, so the game isn’t able to save your progress. There are some posts here in the forum with possible fixes. If you did a clean install this shouldn’t be happening.
Why is my BL2 game not saving progress?
You don’t have a BL2 folder (or a saves folder in it) or the folder permissions are are messed up. The game is loading your cloud save, but is unable to write the new save to the disk. This causes the cloud save to not get updated either (since it would sync the saves after closing the game).
