Division skipping happens when your mmr is much higher than your current rank, as people might already know. This is evident when you are gaining 25+ lp and losing much less. In order for you to skip division, for example, silver 5 to silver 3, you must go into s5 promos and come out winning with the mmr of a s3.
Can you skip promos to plat?
You don’t skip promos ever. You can get up two tiers if your MMR is high enough, but you still have to do the promo series. IE Gold 5 to Gold 3, Gold 3 to Gold 1, but you can’t go up by 2 if you’re going from gold to plat.
Is it possible to skip gold promos?
For example if you are silver 5 but you have the hidden Elo of a Gold 4 Player you will be instantly promoted to the next division once you reach 100 LP. You can also skip divisions and promotions at the same time but this is very rare (skipping promotions is really rare already).
Can you jump from Bronze 2 to silver?
As of Season 4, it is possible, however rare, to skip promotional series. You will need to have an MMR one tier higher than your current placement. For example, if you are Gold V, so long as your MMR is Platinum IV or higher, you will instantly be promoted upon reaching 100LP.
Can you still skip divisions in league season 11?
The new ranked season started on January 8 and it brought a major change to the game. Starting in Season 11, the promo series between divisions are removed from the game. Players now will advance from one division to the next once they earn 100 LP.
How do I check my MMR?
There is no official way to check your MMR. However, you can partially figure it out from how LP points are distributed after the end of a ranked game. The easier way to see your MMR is to use a service that pulls data from the API.
Is there promos in season 11?
Starting in Season 11, the promo series between divisions are removed from the game. This change is taking away one of the most frustrating experiences in the game. Now the climb in ranked will be smoother, especially since Season 11 will see players already starting closer to their final rank from the previous season.
Are dodging promos worth it?
Dodging has no effect on your MMR. It is even advisable to dodge unfavorable games such as the ones with trollers in them in order to save your MMR. While your LP will be getting reduced with each dodge, your MMR will stay the same resulting in higher LP gains.
