This Quest is unlocked after you finish all four of the “special” assignments. After doing five of the normal assignments given by Vex or Delvin in each of the main cities (Whiterun, Windhelm, Markarth, and Solitude), he will give you one of these individual quest’s.
How do I speak to Brynjolf?
If you are directed to find Brynjolf, you may speak to him, Dirge, or Vekel the Man inside The Ragged Flagon. All three give an option to persuade or bribe them for information on Esbern’s location.
Are Tonilia and Brynjolf together?
She is in a relationship with Vekel the Man, but she refuses to marry him, perhaps because of a rumored affair with Brynjolf. Tonilia will always be found in the Ragged Flagon near her lover Vekel and her friend Dirge. She will always offer her services while pacing the tavern or sitting at a table.
Can you restore the Thieves Guild and keep the Skeleton Key?
It is recommended to not return the Skeleton Key until either reaching the Unbreakable lockpick perk, or are able to become the Thieves Guild Guildmaster, as the Skeleton Key must be returned to do that. After the completion of this quest, a shrine to Nocturnal will appear in the Thieves Guild Cistern.
Why can’t I talk to vex about Vald?
It’s possible that Vald won’t come talk to you at the gate when you bring him the note to clear his debt, becoming hostile toward you instead. This can occur if you’ve walked too close to the yard after the quest has started, but before erasing Vald’s debt. This bug is fixed by version 2.0.
Can you marry Vekel?
As far as “relationships” go, Skyrim only recognizes NPCs as being married, not married, and available to be married. Vekel’s “relationship” isn’t any of these, it’s just backstory he provides through his dialogue.
What happens if you don’t give the Skeleton Key back?
There’s no penalty for keeping the key, except that you can’t continue the guild questline. You don’t get kicked out – rather, like most missions in Skyrim, you have virtually unlimited time to complete a quest.
What do I do with the Right Eye of the Falmer?
There is no quest attached to the Right Eye of the Falmer, so it can be sold to merchants who buy stolen goods.
