How does ranked battle work in Splatoon 2?
Ranked Battle is a game mode in Splatoon 2. There are three modes in Ranked Battle that rotate every two hours. As you win Ranked Battles you win increases, likewise, when you lose you rank decreases. You have three separate ranks, one for each mode.
How do penalties work in Splat zones?
Once a team has covered 70% of a zone in their ink, the zone is “captured” by the team. Losing control of one or more zones causes the team’s countdown clock to stop. If the opposing team then takes control of the zones, a “penalty” is given to the team that was previously in control.
Why can’t I use my Pokemon in ranked battle?
It’s because they don’t want to allow transferred movesets to be used. There are many Pokemon that lost significantly powerful moves from their moveset (like Slurpuff lost Belly Drum and Togekiss lost Tailwind).
