How do you get loot from Town Hall?
Your town hall simply acts more1 like a storage as of the TH11 update. It contains up to a certain amount of loot (see here for a chart on how much) in it that will be obtained if and only if the town hall is destroyed. There is no way to prevent it from being stored in there, nor to remove loot from it.
Do you lose loot when attacked?
You lose resources, depending on how much the attacker “destroys”. If the attacker destroys everything, you can lose up to a maximum of 50% of Elixir/Gold in your collectors, 100% of Elixir/Gold in your Town Hall, and 10-20% of Elixir/Gold in your storage containers depending on your Town Hall level.
Do loot carts expire?
The number of resources will stop increasing at 90 days of not logging in. Like all resource collectors and the Treasury, if collecting the Loot Cart will make some type of your resources overflow, the excess part will remain in the Loot Cart and won’t be lost.
