Check out 7 Wonder duel with the expansion it is much better as a 2 player game. Simply put regular 7 Wonders to play 2 players each player takes turns controlling a 3rd dummy player. Sure mechanically it works, sure you can build strategies off it, but it just isn’t as “fun”.
