The Estoc 1H R2 is quite simply the best move in the game. Not only does it pierce shields, but it is extremely fast, can combo into a normal stab, and even out-ranges spears/rapier pokes. Fighting greatswords is hilariously easy when you can just stand outside the range, and counter sweep between swings.
Should I infuse Uchigatana Dark Souls 2?
Unless you plan on investing in stats to match the infusion, keeping it physical will be the most reliable. However, if you do want to invest in intelligence and or faith then dark(pvp) or lightning(pve) are usually the best.
