The Frost Moon is one of the two Moon events, the other being the Pumpkin Moon. The event is significantly harder than its counterpart and yields less money; however, it drops more powerful weapons.
What does the pumpkin Moon give you?
Pumpkin Moon enemies drop powerful weapons and accessories, as well as pet and vanity items. Most drop with extreme rarity, and even players who manage to complete the event will find they need to do so several times before obtaining them. Drop chances for items dropped by bosses increase as waves are completed.

Is the Pumpkin Moon an end game event?
Bear in mind that the Pumpkin Moon and Frost Moon events are considered end-game – they are supposed to be difficult for very well geared players. If you’re not a very well geared player, don’t expect to get to wave 15.
What kind of Arena do you need for Frost Moon?
Extensive arena for the Moon Events, making heavy use of platforms, Asphalt and passive healing tiles. Example of an arena, making heavy use of Traps. Note that on higher difficulties, Traps are hardly useful. The Pumpkin and Frost Moons are much easier to handle with the proper arena.
Is it hard to survive the Pumpkin Moon?
Due to the amount of strong enemies and bosses, it can be hard to survive the event at first. Like the Pumpkin Moon, the event consists of multiple waves, with a final wave that will last until the night is over.
When to summon the Pumpkin Moon in terraria?
The event can be summoned at any time post-Plantera, but it is usually done after Golem and Duke Fishron have been defeated, and before the Frost Moon . For melee, DPS is maximized with the Chlorophyte Mask, Monk’s Shirt, and Squire’s Greaves .
