VAC bans are permanent, non-negotiable, and cannot be removed by Steam Support. If a VAC ban is determined to have been issued incorrectly it will automatically be removed. If you wish to discuss Valve Anti-Cheat with the community, you may do so here.
Is a VAC ban an IP ban?
VAC is not known to IP ban. It is highly unlikely that they do IP ban. But we have one user who says he was banned on one account, when making a second account using the same IP it was banned after he was AFK racking up gameplay hours.
Does tf2 VAC ban?
Functionality. VAC-bans can apply to multiple games, even if you didn’t cheat in them. For example, users that cheat in Team Fortress 2 will be unable to play Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, and Day of Defeat: Source. VAC-banned players are still able to play on all VAC-insecure servers on any game.
How long does it take to get VAC banned?
It takes the normal Delay of VAC. Some Accounts getting banned later or earlier but mostly between 6 and 9 days in avarage.
Do VAC bans go away after 7 years?
VAC bans become hidden to other users after seven years of not getting another VAC ban. After they were banned, they lost more friends, were more likely to increase their privacy settings and also had more VAC banned friends than non-banned players. Banned players are also sometimes referred to as going on “VACation”.
Does VAC ban affect all games?
You are banned from all Source Engine games that run on VAC (Counter-Strike: Source, Team Fortress 2, etc.) You can still play all of your games, the only difference being you cannot connect to VAC-Secured Source games anymore.
Can I play Faceit with VAC ban?
If you’re VAC banned in the game you wish to play on FACEIT, you will need to contact one of our Community Support agents in a ticket to deactivate your FACEIT account. This will enable you to make a new account with a different Steam ID without breaching FACEIT’s multi-account policies.
What can give you a VAC ban?
The VAC system reliably detects cheats using their cheat signatures. Any third-party modifications to a game designed to give one player an advantage over another is classified as a cheat or hack and will trigger a VAC ban. This includes modifications to a game’s core executable files and dynamic link libraries.
