Players were awarded Super Sea Snails based on the Splatfest Title they have earned. Players on the winning team earn more Super Sea Snails than those on the losing team.
How does Splatfest work Splatoon 2?
Splatfest features the usual two-hour stage rotation with a bonus third stage, Shifty Station. After every Turf War match you’ll receive Clout and Splatfest Points (as well as your regular XP, coins, etc). Clout are points earned after every battle and will be used when Splatfest is over to determine the winning team.

In pro mode, your clout increases when you defeat an opposing team. Teams with a higher Splatfest Power give you more clout when you defeat them.

Ranked Mode matches reward your win bonus based on the Splatfest Power level of the opposing team. The higher the power level, the higher the win bonus. Your Splatfest Rank starts as a Fanboy/Fangirl. Earning 100 SP ranks you up to Fiend. Earning 250 SP after Fiend ranks you to Defender.
