People are moving to Arena and consequently selling out of Magic Online, which further depresses prices on Magic Online. This is happening even as Arena is still in the Beta. A ton of important features are not yet even implemented, including simple things such as friends list or a meaningful ladder structure.

Can you sell cards in MTG Arena?
MTG Arena Is a Game Changer It’s much flashier than MTGO and is a much more intuitive play process. MTG Arena does not have a “redemption for cards program,” or the ability to sell or buy cards. So, you cannot actually “make money” grinding MTG Arena.

In Magic Online, the default seems to be to have a lot of “stops” where each player has to manually click “ok” to keep play progressing. In Arena, if a player has no valid moves to make, the game is just zoomed forward to the next point when a play can be made.
