The Daily Donation Limit limits each player to donate a certain amount of cards a day. For example, if a player is in the Royal Arena, they are allowed to donate 270 cards, or 9 times the request capacity for Common cards in that Arena (30). As they enter higher Arenas, their donation limit will increase.
Can you donate maxed cards clash Royale?
Donating maxed-out cards is FREE, and will only give XP in return. Without the Donation Limit, players could jump Clans to gain coins, inflating their coffers unnaturally. This diverts focus from Royale’s key gameplay component: attacking for rewards.

How are crowns earned in the clan chest?
Like a Crown Chest, only crowns earned from multiplayer (i.e. ladder & 2v2) matches and Victory Challenge matches would count towards the Clan Chest. Crowns earned from Custom Tournaments, Friendly Battles or Training Battles would not count towards the Clan Chest.

How does the donation cool down work in Clash Royale?
Every 7 hours, the members of a clan can ask for cards (common and rare during the week, epic during Sunday). Depending on your arena level, the number of cards you can give/receive is modified. If you donated too many cards during this 7 hour period, you will then have the cool down, preventing you from asking/giving further cards.
