Iron is one of the most versatile resources in Minecraft. Every player needs an iron farm in their world. Iron farms work by scaring villagers using zombies/pillagers. When a group of villagers are scared, they spawn an iron golem for protection.

  1. Fill the entire volume of Golem spawning (which is 16x16x6 around village center) with solid block floors 3 blocks of air apart. You can also use walls 1 meter apart, but floors are probably a bit prettier 🙂
  2. You can leave the bottommost floor 4 levels below level of your doors, and keep air up from there.

How close to an iron farm Do you have to be for it to work?

Chunks that aren’t loaded don’t change at all until they’re loaded. So if you’re 230 blocks away from your iron farm, the render distance would have to be at least 15 chunks (230 % 16 rounded up) for the iron farm to work.

Are drowned attracted to turtle eggs?

Mobgriefing is on. Solved. To make them aggro eggs, underneath the slab there should be another layer of normal bricks, drowned stand on single layer of lower brick slab won’t do anything to find turtle eggs.

I’ve been playing Minecraft 1.12 Java Edition on PC. I built a simple iron farm with 13 villagers and 24 doors. The farm works perfectly fine and I’m getting a decent rate of iron ingots. To make it work all the time I moved my world spawn point to the coordinates of my iron farm by using the /setworldspawn command.

Where does the Iron Golem spawn in Minecraft?

Above your weird, suspended village you need a large roof or covering to stop lighting from turning your villagers into witches. You also need to make sure that your Iron Golem can’t spawn in the village, but will instead spawn below it, near the killing pit.

How are iron ingot production rates determined in Minecraft?

The rate of iron ingot production in an iron golem farm is determined by three factors: the number of spawnable blocks, the number of villagers, and the average lifetime of each iron golem. The most efficient farms achieve rates around 400 ingots/hour. The maximum number of spawnable blocks in a farm is 512.
