To add to GamerHawaiian’s answer: another opportunity to give Claptrap a high-five comes up when you talk to him as a part of the “Wildlife Preservation” quest. GamerHawaiian is actually referencing that quest when he refers to the birthday party (you’ll note the invisibility upgrade is mentioned). That post just references the wrong quest name.
How do you give an NPC a high five?
You’ll first need to complete the mission he hands over to you, which isn’t very hard. Once done, turn it in and then follow him. He’ll only walk around the corner to another NPC. Once he does, get close and you can then press to give him a high five. Simply press and Claptrap will then put his hand up in the air.
