How do you marry Ainethach in Skyrim?
You can either aid Ainethach by getting rid of the mercenaries or convince Ainethach to sell his mine to the Silver-Bloods. Upon raising his disposition, he will become a potential candidate for marriage.

Aiding Ainethach will cause Lash gra-Dushnikh to grant the Dragonborn access to Orc Strongholds. With the Dawnguard add-on, it may be possible that Atar is a victim of kidnap. When attempting to rescue him, he may be hostile and attack unless calmed.

Karthwasten is located in The Reach and can be added to your map from the map in Dragonsreach, or you can find it by traveling North East of Markarth. It’s a mining town that’s split into two, but the mine dominates the conversation. Four houses are scattered on the path next to the mine.
