Make sure you haven’t enabled the FOV Changer mod and make sure you haven’t disabled Dynamic FOV in Minecraft video settings. When Dynamic FOV is turned off, your field of view does not change (same thing with the FOV Changer mod when it is enabled), and maybe that’s the reason you think sprinting does not work.
